Behind the Lens
The high desert of Utah is a place that demands patience and a deep respect for light. I spent hours tracking the movement of the sun across Nipple Bench, waiting for the exact moment when the shadows would define the deep crevices and crumbling boulders of the slope while the plateau remained ignited by the late-afternoon glow. There is a profound silence in these remote reaches of the West. In this shot, I wanted to capture the sheer physical weight of the landscape—a moment where the earth seems to tell its own multimillion-year story through color and stone.
