There is a weight to a raven’s gaze that you don't find in other birds. They don't just look; they observe. I found this particular bird in a remote corner of the high desert, perched on a branch that looked as old as the landscape itself.
In this portrait, I wanted to capture the "obsidian" quality of its plumage—the way the feathers catch the light to reveal hidden blues and violets. It’s a study in texture and sharp focus, intended to highlight the cunning and adaptability that has made the raven a symbol of wisdom across cultures.
