In the arid high desert of Wyoming, water is everything — and the waterhole is the one place where the wild horse band's entire social hierarchy softens into the shared necessity of survival. Desert Oasis finds two dark mustangs drinking side by side in a moment of complete and unguarded ease, their reflections breaking softly in the still water below, the pale desert earth visible at the far bank, the whole scene rendered in the quiet, documentary black and white that suits the Wyoming range so naturally.
